The International Football Federation (FIFA) has updated the schedule of the 2022 World Cup games, which will be held in November-December in Qatar. The opening match with the participation of the team of the host country of the FIFA World Cup was postponed, the Championship reported.
Due to Western sanctions, Russia has been suspended from international football competitions. Domestic sporting events continue. Recently, a tournament was held in YaNAO in honor of the Day of the reindeer breeder. Lev Ezyngi was recognized as the best wrestler.
Traditionally, World Championships open with a match involving the host country. So it should have been in Qatar, where the local team was supposed to meet with the team Ecuador. But the FIFA management made adjustments, and the game was postponed for six hours. It turns out that the World Cup will be opened by the players of the national teams of Holland and Senegal. The tournament will run from November 21 to December 18.
